PNP Central Luzon: 5 cops test positive for COVID-19, 5 others recover
OLONGAPO CITY – Five new cases of COVID-19 and five recoveries from the viral disease were recorded among the personnel of the Philippine National Police in Central Luzon on Saturday.
According to the Health Service of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), active cases among police officers in the region stood at 97.
Five recoveries were listed on the same day, pushing to 1,898 its total number of recoveries.
To date, PRO3 has logged 2,000 COVID-19 infections since last year. These include its non-uniformed personnel.
No new fatalities related to the disease were registered by PRO3 in the past few weeks. The death toll stands at five.
