SAN ANTONIO, Zambales – The deployment of mobile vaccination clinics to remote villages has ramped up the COVID-19 vaccination rollout in Zambales, where 45, 136 have been fully vaccinated as of Friday.
Dr. Noel Bueno, Zambales Provincial Health Director, said 2,997 residents were recently inoculated, with 2,723 of them getitng the second dose.
This figure is the highest single-day shots administered in the province since it started its vaccination rollout.
Most of the residents were vaccinated with a single dose Janssen vaccine produced by Johnson & Johnson through mobile vaccination clinics by several municipal health offices.
This program is intended for senior citizens and those with comorbidities.
Aside from the Janssen vaccine, the province has likewise been administering Sinovac and Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccines.
