14 more PNP personnel in Central Luzon contract COVID-19

OLONGAPO CITY—At least 14 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded among the personnel of the Philippine National Police in Central Luzon on Friday (Aug. 6), local virus data showed.

According to the health service of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), the new cases raised to 97 its active cases.

But four other personnel of the PR03 have recovered from the viral disease on the same day, pushing to 1,893 its total number of recoveries.

To date, the PRO3 has logged 1,995 COVID-19 infections since last year. These include its non-uniformed personnel.

The PRO3 registered no new fatalities related to the disease in the past few weeks. Its death toll still stood at five. INQ
