TAGBILARAN CITY — A long line of residents formed outside the Camp Francisco Dagohoy Headquarters in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, to have themselves vaccinated against COVID-19 on Friday morning.
The camp hosted a first-come, first-served vaccination event, targeting essential workers.
“I’m happy that I am vaccinated,” said Marie Oguis, 43, who arrived at the site around 6 a.m.
Some began lining up as early as 3 a.m.
For Oguis, she did not mind waiting a few hours as long as she would be vaccinated.
Because of the long line, some took their lunch while lining up.
The camp’s vaccination accommodated medical frontliners, senior citizens, persons with comorbidities, and essential workers.
Meanwhile, the vaccination rollout in Tagbilaran City continued at Booy Covered Court. The four other sites only catered to those who were scheduled to get their second dose of the vaccine. The next vaccination will resume on August 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13.
As of Friday, there were 191,541 individuals who got inoculated out of 315,468 target population in the province.
Bohol has recorded 860 active cases of COVID-19.
