15 women, minors, rescued from sex trafficking in Subic Freeport

handcuffsOLONGAPO CITY––Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested four suspected human traffickers and rescued 15 women inside the Subic Bay Freeport on Thursday.

Orlando Navallo, NBI-Olongapo director, said in a radio interview that the suspects, one of them a minor, were nabbed during an operation on two establishments.

Navallo said six of the rescued victims are also minors.

He said their office received information that the suspects were recruiting women and that their clients subjected them to sexual exploitation.
