P1.8M marijuana, hashish seized in Cauayan City

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela––A fish vendor and his partner were arrested after yielding P1.8 million worth of marijuana and hashish (an illegal weed) tablets in a buy-bust operation on Aug. 5 in this city, authorities said.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Teody Tumolva, 40, and Imary Jane Manalo, 32, from Barangay Rang-ay in Cabatuan town, Isabela province, were caught while selling two sachets of marijuana worth P1,200 to an undercover agent.

PDEA also seized from the couple six tablets of hashish, a sachet of marijuana, and a loaded 9mm revolver.

The two will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and anti-illegal firearms law. INQ
