MANILA, Philippines — Laguna province, Iloilo City and Cagayan de Oro province will also be placed under the strictest enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) starting Friday, August 6 until August 15, Malacañang announced Thursday night.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said President Rodrigo Duterte approved the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) to place those areas under the most restrictive quarantine classification.
The IATF made the recommendation after they held a meeting on Thursday afternoon.
Cavite, Lucena City, Rizal, and Iloilo province will be placed under a less restrictive modified ECQ from August 6 to 15 while the rest of Calabarzon (Batangas, Quezon province) will be placed under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions from August 6 to 15.
