FEATURED STORIES

Dr. Alethea De Guzman, OIC-Director of the DOH Epidemiology Bureau noted that COVID-19 deaths are declining at the national level.

She said that in April this year when the country saw a surge in infections, an average of 133 patients died per day. This decreased to 117 deaths per day in May, 95 in June, and 61 in July.

Metro Manila will be placed under enhanced community quarantine, the strictest lockdown, from August 6 to 20 in order to prevent the further spread of the highly contagious Delta variant, and eventually prevent more deaths due to more cases.
