Pagasa said it will later issue a tropical cyclone advisory.
Gorio is the seventh tropical cyclone to enter this country this year, according to Pagasa.
Earlier, Pagasa said the now-tropical cyclone continues to enhance the southwest monsoon or habagat, which is expected to dump rain in Metro Manila and many parts of Luzon.
