8-month-old girl among 23 new COVID-19 cases in Zambales

The DOH reported 4,478 new cases of COVID Wednesday, raising the active count to 54,552 as the country braces for Delta variant threat.

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least 23 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in this province on Tuesday (Aug. 3).

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said among the new patients is an 8-month-old girl in San Felipe town who was exposed to a COVID-19 positive patient.

Among other new cases are a 7-year-old boy, seven patients who are in their late 20’s, and six senior citizens.

The latest data showed that nine more patients recovered from the disease on the same day.

So far, the province logged a total of 4,437 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 4,374 of which recovered and 122 died.
