Isko Moreno leads groundbreaking ceremony for 10-story grade school building
MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso led the groundbreaking ceremony for a 10-story building of the Dr. Alejandro Albert Elementary School in Sampaloc.
“Building this school is our way of strengthening the public school system in the city and at the same time addressing the problem of teacher-student ratio,” Domagoso in his speech during the ceremony.
Once finished, the building will have 234 air-conditioned classrooms, 16 offices, a library, canteen, auditorium, gym, a roof deck, two basketball courts, and elevators.
The project is worth P2 billion, according to Domagoso.
“We will continue to address the concern of our teachers and the future generation which is our students,” he added.
