Over 1.3 million overseas Filipinos repatriated during pandemic

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 1,304,813 million Filipinos abroad have been repatriated since the start of the pandemic, Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said Monday in the taped weekly briefing with President Rodrigo Duterte.
Of that number, 1,048,754 were overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and 256,059 were residents abroad.
Among the repatriated OFWs, 601,439 were land-based workers and 447,315 were sea-based.
Lorenzana said the total number increased by 17,597 since his last report.
