21% of target Quirino population now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19
TUGUEGARAO CITY—The province of Quirino has fully vaccinated at least 21 percent of its target population against COVID-19, officials said on Monday, Aug. 2.
A total of 31,100 residents on the priority list were given complete vaccines and the province targets to achieve herd immunity by the first quarter of 2022, according to Dr. Mila Villar, Quirino provincial health officer.
Quirino aims to inoculate 148,000 eligible members of its population, Villar said in a virtual press briefing.
She said health workers have been conducting a massive information drive to encourage seniors citizens to avail themselves of the free vaccination. INQ
