1,284 Central Luzon cops get Janssen COVID-19 vaccine

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Some 1,284 police personnel in Central Luzon have received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Health Service disclosed on Monday, Aug. 2.
Some 941 police officers were inoculated with the Janssen vaccine over the weekend, while 343 got the vaccine earlier last week.
Data from the PRO3 Health Service showed that 3,963 police personnel from the regional office and support units are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The health service also said 6,042 police officers in the region have received their first dose of AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, Sinovac, and Sputnik V vaccines as of Monday.
It said 865 police personnel were vaccinated by the PRO3’s Regional Medical and Dental Unit, while the other 6,461 got their vaccination from the local governments where they are assigned.
The PRO3 is composed of 12,518 police officers, while 2,109 police officers comprise the regional support units.
