CITY OF MALOLOS––Masterpieces on COVID-19 pandemic and new normal lifestyle are now in a book and virtual display in mall exhibits until Aug. 3 in Bulacan province to help inspire and encourage people to remain positive amid the crisis.
Photos by Jeremy Sandel, Charlotte Jennifer Calogne, and Amen Alcoriza, who are members of the Bulacan Focus photography group, featuring face masks, personalized protective equipment, closed restaurants, and children answering their modules, were among the highlights of the SM Marilao exhibit at its mall atrium on July 30.
“As photographers, we have ideas about the New Normal, but we were limited by the pandemic and not being able to go out and shoot, but we took that as a challenge to still get creative and do what we could. Once community quarantine restrictions were eased, we made it a point to capture and document the changes that we’ve all been through since the COVID-19 pandemic struck,” Sandel told the Inquirer.
The photos initially displayed in a virtual exhibit in December 2020 were just among the Bulacan artist’s pandemic arts featured in My City, My SM, My Art.
Visual art works of artists Jose Moya, Angelito Antonio, Roan Capule, Ebony Paguia-Hermogenes, Rommel Sampana, and Francis Eugene Andrade were also part of the exhibit.
The SM Marilao exhibit runs from July 30-Aug. 3, and will move to other SM Malls in the province.
