11 drug suspects busted in 2 Pampanga drug den raids

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 3 (PDEA-R3) raided two alleged drug dens and arrested 11 suspects in Barangay Santa Lucia in the City of San Fernando around midnight on Friday.

In a statement, PDEA-Central Luzon director Bryan Babang said the twin anti-illegal drugs operations were conducted in Purok 2 at 11 p.m. Friday and in Purok 6 at 1:40 a.m. Saturday.

The operations yielded some 25 grams of shabu (crystal meth) with an estimated street value of P170,000.

Babang said six persons were arrested in the first alleged drug den – Arnel Concepcion, 60, who is in the PDEA list of suspected drug personalities; Donjuan Manlastas, 45, also in the PDEA watch list; William Nabong, 28; Edilberto Concepcion, 51, also in the watch list; Jeffrey Quiambao, 43; and Adonis Cortez, 48.

Recovered from the six were 10 grams of shabu.

In the second suspected drug den, Babang said some 15 grams of shabu were seized from Roberto Ignacio, 26; Alberto Ignacio Jr., 29; Bernardo Ignacio, 27; Roland Ramos, 43 and Ma. Theresa Mendoza, 40.

Babang said PDEA-R3 agents initially conducted buy-bust operations before arresting the suspects and shutting down the alleged drug dens.

He said a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects.
