Village chief, secretary in Bacolod have COVID-19

BACOLOD CITY––The barangay captain and secretary of Bata in this City have tested positive for COVID-19.

Barangay Captain Angelito Abaring said Thursday, July 29, that the Bata Barangay Hall had been closed for decontamination.

Those seeking death and indigent certificates would be attended to in the councilmen’s holding office at the barangay gym.

Abaring said he did not know that he had COVID-19 and found out only on Tuesday after he underwent a swab test before a trip to Iloilo City for an angiogram.

The secretary was also swabbed as he was going to accompany the barangay captain to Iloilo City.
