MANILA, Philippines – A lawyer was gunned down Wednesday by still unidentified suspects inside his office in Bulacan, Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., Philippine National Police spokesman said Thursday.
The victim, identified as Cornelio Cruz, 57, was shot and killed at Cruz Hi-Rise Bldg, Barangay (village) Sta. Cruz 1, San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, he said.
Seven spent shells and three deformed slugs from a caliber .45 pistol were recovered from the crime scene.
Cruz Jr. said that authorities were still investigating the incident to determine the motive behind the killing.
