MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––COVID-19 cases in the City of San Fernando reached 6,000 after the city government recorded on Wednesday 37 new patients.
In its latest bulletin, the San Fernando government said 41 more patients have recovered from the disease, while a resident of Barangay San Agustin had died.
On Tuesday, another resident of San Agustin died from COVID-19.
Eight new cases were reported Wednesday in the same village.
Of the 6,000 COVID-19 cases recorded since the onset of the pandemic last year, 5,472 have recovered, while 195 have died.
Barangay Dolores has the most number of active cases at 58, followed by its neighboring village of San Agustin with 42, and Calulut with 40.
In Mabalacat City, four new cases and 12 new recoveries were reported on Wednesday.
The city registered 4,222 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 3,872 have recovered, while 121 have died.
