Flood hits Bataan villages due to torrential rains

BALANGA CITY––At least seven villages in Hermosa town were submerged Thursday in waist-deep floodwater due to incessant rains, authorities said.

The inundated areas in Hermosa are Tenejero, Cataning, Central, Almacen, San Pedro, Pulo, and Daungan villages.

The bridge that links Balanga City to Pilar town has also started to overflow, while several major roads were already impassable.

Bataan is under a heavy rainfall warning, and widespread flooding has begun to submerge the low-lying areas.
