SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—At least 2,715 more people in the province have been fully vaccinated against SARS Cov2, the virus that causes COVID-19, as local government units continued conducting mass vaccination for residents on priority lists.
As of Tuesday (July 26,) a total of 21,738 residents had been fully vaccinated, including 1,421 recipients of the single-dose Janssen vaccine of Johnson & Johnson.
The remaining 20,317 received complete doses of other brands of vaccines (15,367 received the CoronaVac and 4,950 received the AstraZeneca).
Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said a total of 60,150 doses of vaccines have already been administered.
So far, the number of fully vaccinated residents in Zambales represents five percent of the target population.
The province needs to vaccinate 400,000 of its 590,800 residents to achieve herd immunity.
