This figure is 1.75 percent of all the 1,566,667 total confirmed cases of the disease in the country. Of the tally, 54,552 remain active cases.

FEATURED STORIES

According to the DOH, 2.3 and 1.4 percent of the active cases are severe and critical, respectively, which are at higher risk for death.

Based on previous case bulletins, the health department reported an average of 75 deaths from July 22 to 28, and an average of 92 deaths from July 15 to 21.

The DOH, however, has encountered glitches in the COVID Kaya system, a platform for COVID-19 information management, which affected the reporting of the outcomes of the cases—whether they have recovered or died—in the recent days.
