P68k shabu, illegal firearm seized from 2 drug suspects in Calamba City
LUCENA CITY––Police seized P68,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm from two drug suspects in a buy-bust Tuesday in Calamba City, a report said Wednesday.
The Calabarzon police reported that anti-narcotics agents collared Aljohn Garcia and Sergio Elic at 4:25 p.m. after they sold a pack of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Kay-Anlog.
Authorities seized three plastic sachets of shabu weighing 10 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P68,000. Garcia was also carrying an undocumented caliber .38 revolver with six bullets.
The police said the suspects conducted their illegal drugs peddling business aboard a motorcycle that they also confiscated.
The suspects were detained at the local police jail and were facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of the
Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Garcia was also slapped with another charge for carrying an illegal firearm.
