Retired policeman caught selling shabu

A retired police officer was arrested for allegedly selling drugs in barangay Poblacion, Argao town, southern Cebu.

Allan Teo Kintanar, 49, was arrested in a buy-bust operation after he sold a pack of suspected shabu worth P500 to a police decoy, said Insp. Alejandro P. Batobalonos, Argao police chief.

Kintanar had a rank of police officer 3 when he retired three years ago. He was last assigned in Oslob town.

After the arrest, 32 small packs of suspected shabu and P2,700 cash were taken from Kintanar, said police.

Kintanar resisted arrest and tried to escape, but he was evenutally cornered by the police.

He remained silent during his arrest, and simply said “Pasyloa ko, chief (Forgive, me chief.),” said the police.

Batobalonos said Kintanar had been selling drugs for about three months based on a background check.
