MANILA, Philippines — Protesters gathered at the University of the Philippines – Diliman in Quezon City hours before President Rodrigo Duterte delivers his final State of the Nation Address (Sona) on Monday.
Members of progressive groups like Bayan, Karapatan, Anakbayan converged in UPD early morning in preparation for Duterte’s final Sona.
More protesters are expected to gather before the march towards Commonwealth Avenue, through the University Avenue at 9:30 a.m.
Duterte will deliver his final Sona in a joint session of Congress later in the afternoon.
