MANILA, Philippines— The COVID-19 vaccination drives in Pasig City and Pasay City were suspended on Saturday due to inclement weather.

In an advisory, the Pasig City Public Information Office said it will suspend scheduled vaccinations to ensure the safety of recipients and members of its vaccination team.

“Tatapusin lamang ang pagbabakuna ng mga indibidwal na nakapunta sa vaccination sites ngayong umaga at isasara na pansamantala ang mga ito,” it said.

(We will complete the vaccination of those who already arrived at vaccination sites this morning and these sites will be temporarily closed thereafter.)

“Para sa mga hindi nakapunta ngayong araw dala ng masamang lagay ng panahon, kayo po ay makakatanggap muli ng SMS advisory para sa inyong bagong schedule,” it added.

(For those who were not vaccinated today due to the inclement weather, you will receive another SMS advisory for your new schedule.)

The Pasay City Public Information Office likewise advised its residents slated for vaccination this Saturday to wait for an announcement on their new schedule.

“For the general safety of everyone, all vaccination schedules for today are cancelled due to the inclement weather condition. Please wait for further announcement on the new schedule. Be safe everyone,” it said.

Metro Manila and parts of Luzon and the Visayas continue to experience rain showers on Saturday as Typhoon Fabian, which already exited the country, still enhances the southwest monsoon.
