Missing woman found dead in La Union irrigation canal

BAGUIO CITY––A missing woman was found dead Thursday at an irrigation canal in Balaoan town, La Union province, the police said.

Nicolasa Morillo, 92, of Barangay Luzong in Bangar town, could have drowned after her body was found floating at the irrigation canal in Barangay Tallipug, the police said.

Investigators said Morillo was taken to a hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.

Morillo suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, the police said, citing the relatives of the victim. INQ
