MANILA, Philippines — The Pasig City Government on Thursday said 100 percent of the target vaccination number for senior citizens have gotten their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Mayor Vico Sotto said Pasig is one of the first cities to achieve the milestone after vaccinating 44,703 senior citizens whose records were validated.
Sotto said 84 percent of targeted senior citizens have also received the second dose.
“Congratulations sa ating accomplishment na 100 percent for eligible senior citizen ay nabakunahan na. Sa second dose naka 84 percent naman tayo,” Sotto said during an event.
Sotto also said that the daily vaccine target has also been reached.

“Nung unang naaprubahan ng DOH ang microplan natin, nasa 5,800 vax per day ang target ng Pasig,” he tweeted.
“Kahapon, umabot tayo sa 11,817 jabs! Nasa DOBLE ng initial target natin!” he added.
