QCPD to get new chief

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will have a new director this week.

The announcement was made by incumbent QCPD director, Chief Supt. George Regis, during a command conference yesterday morning.

Regis said he would be replaced by Chief Supt.  Mario dela Vega, chief of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations in the Visayas area.

Dela Vega is not new to the QCPD, having served as chief of directorial staff several years back.

Regis, on the other hand, will take over the post of Southern Police District (SPD) director from Senior Supt. Arrazad Subong. Subong was Regis’ deputy district director in QCPD before his transfer to SPD.

The SPD directorship was left vacant after Chief Supt. Jose Arne delos Santos was promoted as head of the Police Regional Office 5.
