Six Subic Freeport workers among 31 new COVID-19 cases in Zambales

OLONGAPO CITY — At least 31 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the province of Zambales on Tuesday (July 20).

According to Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, six of the new patients are workers inside the Subic Bay Freeport. The others are two government workers.

The total number of active cases in the province was down to 405 from 439 the previous day as 40 more cases had already recovered from the disease.

Bueno also reported that they were monitoring a total of 159 suspected COVID-19 cases.

The province has so far recorded 3,980 infections since last year. At least 3,481 of them had already recovered while 95 had died.
