MANILA, Philippines — Even floodwater brought by heavy rainfall did not stop vaccinees from flocking vaccination sites in Manila on Wednesday.
Hundreds of residents lined up at the San Andres Sports Complex to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
“Walang magagawa eh, kailangan sa trabaho,” resident Anna Michelle Malonzo told Radyo Inquirer. (It can’t be helped, it’s required for work.)
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, who visited the site to check the situation, said vaccinations on Wednesday will continue.
As of 10:50 am, Manila has administered 15,096 vaccine doses, according to Moreno.
“Rain and flooding will not stop us dahil hindi din nagpapahinga si COVID-19 (because COVID-19 also does not rest),” Domagoso told reporters.
