OLONGAPO CITY—At least 28 patients in this city have been cleared of COVID-19 Monday (July 19), bringing the number of the city’s active cases down to 180 from 205 in two days, an official said.
But Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said four new cases were added to the city’s COVID-19 data.
Paulino said the latest recoveries raised to 2,444 the number of patients cleared of the virus, an 87.8-percent rate out of 2,781 infections recorded since 2020.
Its COVID-19 death toll rose to 157, with one new fatality, a 66-year-old man, recorded Monday.
Health workers were also monitoring at least 68 suspected COVID-19 cases in the city on the same day.
