5 more Subic Freeport residents test positive for COVID-19

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—Five new cases of COVID-19 were recorded Monday in the Subic Bay Freeport.

Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) confirmed in a statement that the new cases were freeport residents who tested positive from July 11-17.

Among the new patients are co-workers, both 60-year-old men, who contracted the virus at their workplace.

The other new patients were two men aged 28 and 48 years old and a 50-year-old woman.

So far, 144 residents in the Subic Freeport have been infected with the virus, but only 12 are still active. At least 130 of them had recovered from the viral disease, while two had died.
