MANILA, Philippines — The Manila City government has so far administered over one million COVID-19 vaccines since its vaccination program began in March.
According to the Manila Public Information Office, the city government has administered 1,000,021 COVID-19 vaccines as of Monday, 9 a.m.
Of this number, 657,748 are first doses while 342,273 are second doses.
Manila City mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso said the fight against COVID-19 pandemic should be addressed inclusively with the help of the general public as he likewise encouraged his constituents to get vaccinated to protect themselves from the deadly virus.
“Huwag tayong matatakot. Huwag tayong susuko. Huwag tayong mawawalan ng pag-asa. Mananalo tayo. Siguradong mananalo tayo,” Domagoso said.
(Let us not be afraid, let us not give up. Let’s not lose hope. We will win this war.)
“Magtulong-tulong tayo. Tayo rin ang magkikita sa finals. Isang bangka lang tayo, wala ng iba,” Domagoso said.
(Let us help each other. We are all on the same boat.)
