Over 14,000 Zambales residents already fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales – At least 442 more residents in this province received their second dose of the  COVID-19 vaccine on Friday.

The number raised to 13,869 the total number of residents who are now fully vaccinated in the province, the latest data showed.

A total of 34,570 residents had already received their first dose of the vaccine after 109 more residents were vaccinated on Friday.

At least 48,439 doses of vaccines have already been administered in this province. Of this number, 16,660 were given the AstraZeneca vaccine and 31,779 received the Coronavac vaccine developed by the Sinovac pharmaceutical company of China.

The province needs to vaccinate 400,000 of its 590,800 residents to achieve herd immunity.

Zambales logged a total of 3,848 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic broke out last year.
