Pacquiao spearheads efforts help revive Luzon bangus stocks

MALAPATAN, Sarangani – Rep. Manny Pacquiao and Alex Alcantara, Alsons Aquaculture Corporation executive vice president, shipped over five million bangus (Milkfish) fry on Monday to replenish Bangus stocks to Pangasinan, and other areas in Luzon that were severely depleted by the recent fish kill phenomenon.
Pacquiao and Alcantara were joined by Governor Migs Dominguez in the endeavour to put together the huge shipment, which was provided by Finfish Hatcheries based in Malapatan, Sarangani. The Sarangani bangus fry are expected to reach their intended beneficiaries within the next few days, Dominguez said. Inquirer Visayas
