3 more die of COVID-19 in Olongapo City

OLONGAPO CITY—Three more residents here died of COVID-19 complications, raising the city’s death toll to 154, an official said on Thursday (July 15).

Citing the latest virus data, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the latest fatalities were all women aged 57, 83 and 90.

Paulino also said the city listed seven new infections and eight recoveries on the same day.

So far, the city’s active COVID-19 cases dropped to 188 from 192 the previous day.

A total of 2,729 infections were recorded in the city since last year, but 2,386 were already given a clean bill of health.

The city’s COVID-19 recovery rate was steady at 87 percent.
