Their deaths brought to 39 the number of patients who had died after contracting COVID-19 in Capas since last year.
Three of the fatalities were residents of Barangay Cristo Rey, two from Barangay Estrada, and one each from the villages of Aranguren, Cutcut I, Cutcut II, O’Donnel, and Patling.
The eldest was an 81-year-old woman from Patling, while the youngest were two 40-year-old men from Cristo Rey.
The Tarlac provincial government also recorded Thursday eight new COVID-19 patients aged between 21 and 93 in Capas.
The town has 1,388 cases, with 1,260 recoveries and 89 active.
On July 15, the province registered 28 new cases and 77 recoveries.
From 8,721 total COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year, 7,576 had recovered while 754 are active. The province’s death toll stood at 391. INQ
