MANILA, Philippines — The Manila City Government is set to build more vertical housing projects in the city.

Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, in his third state of the city address on Wednesday, said new housing projects dubbed San Sebastian Residences, San Lazaro Residences, and Pedro Gil Residences will soon rise in the city.

The said projects will be a twenty-storey high building with 300 units each.

“If Singapore did it, Manila can do it. Ang mga pinatayo nating bahay ang magbabalik ng dignidad sa buhay ng mga Manilenyo. There will be an opportunity for them,” Domagoso said in his speech.

“Mahirap maging iskwater sa kanyang sariling bayan kaya hindi tayo titigil. We will continue to pursue to give back the dignity to every family in the City of Manila. May awa ang Diyos, kapit lang, kaya natin ito, makakaraos rin tayo,” he added.

Other housing projects like Tondominium 1, Tondominium 2, and Binondominium are still under construction.

They are now more than 50 percent complete, according to Domagoso.

The local government has also recently inaugurated a community townhouse called BaseCommunity last July 5.
