MANILA, Philippines – The Senate, acting as an impeachment court, resumed the trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona Wednesday, the 18th day of the proceedings.

Leonora Dizon, branch manager of the Bank of Philippine Islands on Ayala Avenue, is set to return to the witness stand to submit the monthly statement of accounts of Corona’s peso savings account for 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2011.

The documents form part of the prosecution’s evidence for Article 2 of the Articles of Impeachment or Corona’s alleged failure to declare his statement of assets, liabilities and networth (SALN).
