MANILA, Philippines — The country has recorded its highest number of administered COVID-19 vaccines in a day on July 13 with 375,059 doses, the National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19 said Wednesday.

“The Philippines recorded its highest daily throughput on July 13 with 375,059 anti-COVID vaccine jabs administered,” the NTF said in a tweet.

In a pre-SONA press briefing, Health Secretary Francisco Duque said the country has already administered a total of 14 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, including around 10 million that were provided as first jabs.

Over 20 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been delivered to the Philippines so far.

The government is expecting to receive a total of 16 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine this July and another 16.5 million doses in August.

The government aims to vaccinate around 70 million individuals to achieve herd immunity in the country possibly by November.
