6 patients contract COVID-19 in Olongapo, 13 recover

OLONGAPO CITY—More recoveries from COVID-19 than new cases were listed in this city on Monday, reducing its number of active ones by seven, local health data show.

The latest bulletin of the local task force said 13 more patients were cleared of the viral disease that day, bringing the active infections to 194 from 201.

Six COVID-19 patients, aged 50 years old and above, were added to the city’s virus data.

The city had logged 2,700 infections since the pandemic started in 2020, but 2,358 of them had recovered. These reflect an 87-percent recovery rate.

The latest data show that no deaths were recorded in the city Monday, which kept the death toll at 147.
