2 dead in separate shooting incidents in Calamba, Antipolo
LUCENA CITY—A motorcycle rider and a cyclist were shot and killed in separate incidents Monday in Calamba City in Laguna province and Antipolo City in Rizal province.
A report from the Calabarzon police said an unidentified gunman shot dead motorcycle rider Dante Lima while traversing Marcos Highway on his way home in Barangay Inarawan in Antipolo around 2:30 p.m. The killer escaped while the victim died on the spot.
Police investigators are looking at a land dispute as a possible motive behind the killing.
In Calamba City, the report said an unidentified assailant shot and killed Miguel Locreo while riding his bicycle in Barangay Parian around 9:45 a.m. The gunman escaped after the shooting.
The police tagged the victim as a “known drug personality in their barangay.”
The police are investigating both shooting incidents.
