Youth killed in Lapu-Lapu shooting

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy died  from a gunshot wound in his head while his 15-year-old friend was critically wounded when they were shot while walking home in barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City.

The surviving boy was rushed to the hospital with a bullet still embedded in his head.

Their companions identified the assailant as Moise Hiyas Jr., a resident of the barangay.

The gunman  allegedly rode a black Mio motorcycle with plate number 9847-YZ when he opened fire.

Pursuing policemen went to the Hiyas’ house but his father said he was not around.

Personal grudges could be the motive in the attack.

The victims’ friends said that days before the attack, thee two  figured in   a troubled encounter with Hiyas in a basketball game./CORRESPONDENT NORMAM V. MENDOZA
