TRIATHLETES of all ages are expected to flock over to Bantayan Island, where the Bantayan Beach Games 2012 will be held on April 4 to 8.
The festivities will kick off on April 5 with the off-road duathlon which is a 3-kilometer run, a 15-km bike ride and another 2-km run.
The age groups that will be competed in are the 19 years old and below, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50 years old and above.
On the same day, there will also be a tri-kids, which is a 200-meter swim, a 7.5-km bike and 2-km run. The event is open to the 10 years old and under, 11-12 and 13-14 age groups.
Day 2 will have the individual time trial mix, which will cover a distance of 14 kilometers, while the third day of competition will be the beach run, which will have competitors run through five kilometers.
Also on that day, the 2nd leg of the oceanman race will start, which will have a 200-m run and a 1,600-m swim.
The event saves the best for last as the last day will have the final leg of the Summit Triathlon Team Championship series.
