348 OFWs repatriated from UAE arrive in PH
MANILA, Philippines — Some 348 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who were repatriated from the United Arab Emirates arrived in the country on Sunday, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reported.
The OFWs left UAE on Saturday and arrived in Manila on Sunday morning through a flight chartered by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
Of the 348 repatriates, 67 are pregnant, 30 have medical conditions, six were housed at the Bahay Kalinga in Dubai, and two were housed at the Bahay Kalinga in Abu Dhabi.
The rest of the OFWs are those with canceled flights or who have overstayed in the UAE, according to DOLE.
The first three batches of repatriation from the UAE were undertaken by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
