MANILA, Philippines — Over two million doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from the World Health Organization-led global initiative COVAX facility arrived in the Philippines on Friday.
The National Task Force against COVID-19 said the flight carrying 2,028,000 doses arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) past 4 p.m.
This is the second batch of donated AstraZeneca vaccines to arrive in the country this week.
NTF said this latest shipment brings the total number of AstraZeneca shots delivered to the Philippines to over 5.7 million, including the 1.1 million donated by the Japanese government.
