Over 13,000 more get jabs vs COVID-19 in Angeles City

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga––Some 13,804 frontline personnel in essential sectors have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccines, the city government reported Thursday, July 8.

The city said it had fully inoculated 268 workers in essential institutions and establishments.

As of July 8, the city government said 55,120 priority individuals had been inoculated with the first dose, while 10,768 had been double jabbed.

It said 35,303 doses of the Sinovac vaccine, 21,513 of AstraZeneca, and 9,360 of Pfizer had been administered to the residents.

On July 8, this city recorded 28 new COVID-19 cases, 15 recoveries, and zero deaths.

A total of 6,772 infections were registered here since the start of the pandemic last year, of which 365 remained active and 6,107 had recovered. The death toll was at 300.

The highly commercialized village of Balibago has 35 active COVID-19 cases. Barangay Pampang has the second-highest active cases at 31, followed by Malabanias with 27. INQ
