2 ex-cops arrested for rape-slay of teen

Police have arrested two dismissed cops accused in the murder of a 15-year-old girl who filed complaints of rape and lascivious acts against them last year.

Marawi Torda, 34, and Randy Ramos, 37, were arrested at noon on Wednesday at Barangay Bannuar in San Juan town, Ilocos Sur, just hours after Cabugao Regional Trial Court Branch 24 Judge Homer Jay Ragonjan issued warrants for them for rape, acts of lasciviousness and murder.

Records from the Cabugao police showed that Pineda and her 18-year-old cousin were initially arrested by Torda and Ramos for violation of curfew on June 28, 2020.
