LEGAZPI CITY—Another batch of 36,800 Coronac vaccines arrived Friday at the Legazpi Domestic Airport to inoculate more medical frontline workers, senior citizens, and persons with comorbidities, according to the Department of Health (DOH) here.
The vaccines, packed in 23 boxes, arrived on board a Philippine Air Lines commercial flight from Manila around 9:30 a.m.
The vaccines were immediately brought to the DOH storage facility in this city for inventory and distribution.
Albay was allotted 10,000 vials, while Legazpi (Albay) and Naga (Camarines Sur) cities would each get 5,000 vials. The remaining 16,800 vials will be given to Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Catanduanes provinces.
The new arrival brought the number of doses received by the Bicol region to 294,380 as of July 1.
